Hence, the JVP (for the fist-time in history) joined the mega-loser Ranil and the lot who pussyfoot with the LTTE...
This will be last time that the 'common people' of this country will trust the JVP...
Wimal Weerawansa may defet to the SLFP...
Somawansa may retire from politics...
Tivilin Silva and the hard-core 'comrades' who find it hard to give up their opportunistic stance in favour of the people and the nation will slide slowly and surely into oblivion...

Oh I wouldn't give the southern populace that much credit. The JVP voted against the budget only because they were sure it would be passed anyway. If there was any real danger of the budget failing you can bet the red stars on your butt that the JVP would've voted with the GoSL. Now you can look forward to future speeches where Soma & co will defend their stance by pointing out what hey disagree with in the budget (while agreeing with defence policy). The south will forgive them. The JVP has been responsible directly and indirectly to more Sinhalese death aand suffering than the LTTE; however they've managed to do a "wasn't me" on the south.
The JVP is basically like a good-looking slut that flits from man to man, looking sexy and creating a buzz, but with no real substance. They have no realistic policies on governing the country, and like shit-throwing monkeys are only good at... er throwing shit.
